Artist Amiri Farris who designed the Arkhaios posters is known for his dynamic powerful artwork and design. Amiri Geuka Farris received his Masters of Fine Art in Painting, with his B.F.A in Illustration and graphic design, from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where he is currently a professor. Other academic appointments have included professorships at Georgia Southern University, Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art, Savannah State University and University of South Carolina Beaufort.
Amiri’s works are full of exuberant color and intimate personal experiences. His deep engaging layers invite you to look deeper into the painting, where images and colors dance across the canvas in an energetic display of expression.
His work has been featured in over 50 one-person shows and juried museum exhibits across the U.S. These include the US Capitol in Washington, D.C. and the York W. Bailey Museum at Penn Center National Historic Landmark on St. Helena Island, SC, where he was named the 2008 Artist-of-the-Year. He has created a diverse and inspired body of work that can be found in private collections throughout the world.
Update 2023 - From Amiri: "It gives me great pleasure to announce my exhibition at the renowned Gibbes Museum of Art in Charleston, South Carolina, I will be showcasing a captivating collection of new paintings and assemblages that I created for this exhibition. I am truly looking forward to welcoming you to this and sharing my art with all of you! The exhibition runs through September 10, 2023."
